In 2009, Greg, together with his wife, Heather, and three children made Waldheim their home. Greg grew up on a grain farm in southern Manitoba where he began his ministry as a Youth Pastor. Some of his passions include hockey, astronomy, dirt biking and serving with Mennonite Disaster Service helping clean up and rebuild from natural disasters across North America.
One of Greg’s favorite quotes comes from a book by a preacher named Andy Stanley who talks a lot about why we exist as a church (Greg likes to substitute our town name instead of Atlanta)…
“Waldheim doesn’t need another church. Waldheim needs a different kind of church. Waldheim needs a church where church people are comfortable bringing their unchurched friends, family members, and neighbours. A church where unbelievers can come and hear the life-changing truth that God cares for them and that J*sus Chr*st died for their sin”.
The good news is we get to tell this story together at Waldheim MB Church. We are the Acts 29 church of the Bible. Our congregational meetings are where we plan how we are going to share this Good News together. It is Pastor Greg’s hope that you will come and check out what we are doing and how you can get involved!
