Terms & Conditions Principles Guiding Church Use Our church building belongs to God, our living Lord. The primary focus of Waldheim Mennonite Brethren Church (WMBC) facility is to facilitate the programs of the church and to serve the needs of the congregation. Whenever possible, we also endeavor to make the facility available to the Christian community and to the general public. Because the church is dedicated wholly to the work of God, it is assumed that all activities (services, concerts, social functions, or sports events etc.) will be conducted in a manner that is pleasing to God. If necessary, the Church Leadership Team or Pastors of WMBC will make the decision as to whether the proposed activity fits with our core values. Ministries and functions of WMBC and the community will receive priority in the following order: 1) WMBC internal ministries 2) WMBC members/adherents 3) Other MB churches 4) Community organizations 5) Individuals not associated with WMBC. Rental fees are applicable to all usage of the facilities except for WMBC Internal Ministries We view our church building as one of the tools to serve and reach our community, and community uses (e.g. health or blood donor clinics) will be accommodated where possible. Rental Policy The Rental Request Form must be completely filled out one month in advance and dropped off at the main office along with the required rental fee (an additional damage fee may be requested). All bookings will be approved through the church office. The rental fee will be reimbursed if the booking is denied. With exceptions of weddings, no bookings will be made more than three months in advance. Ensure that the participants renting facility use only the portion of the church, equipment/decorations approved in the rental agreement. The church must be vacated no later than 11:00 p.m. Attention should be given to ensure lights are turned off and all doors are locked. Decorations must be removed immediately after event. Ensure that no equipment or furnishings are moved without permission of church office. No alcohol, tobacco, confetti, animals, commercial vendors, use of roller blades, skate boards, bikes or foul language and other offensive activities are permitted on/in church property. The carpet around the base of ALL candelabras must be protected from all possible wax drips. WMBC will not be responsible for any personal injury or damage or anyone attending on the invitation of the applicant for loss or theft of clothing, equipment or vehicle of the applicant. The applicant is responsible for the conduct of all persons admitted to the building. The applicant signing the Rental Request Form or a designate must be present during all aspects of this event. A technician will be made available to handle any audio or visual equipment requirements. Such requirements must be outlined on the Rental Request Form. If kitchen facilities are needed, the applicant must be instructed in the proper procedures for all kitchen equipment with kitchen and office staff or use a WMBC approved supervisor who will be on site throughout event. Ensure that no part of the facility will be abused or damaged in any way. Acknowledgement & Signature: By pressing SUBMIT I do hereby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless Waldheim Mennonite Brethren Church and the directors thereof from any and all liability, claims or demands for personal injury, sickness or death as well as property damage and expenses which may be incurred by the party to this contract while participating in the above described event.
